Rosalyn Adams, the Hormone Lady®” is
an expert and pioneer in the field of bioidentical hormones and
the hormone connection to our daily lives. For more than a decade,
she has specialized in educating clients and health care practitioners
in this often overlooked part of health in our pursuit of overall
wellness.
Rosalyn developed an interest in the mind, body, spirit connection
to health early on in her life. Through her training, studies
and personal experiences, she discovered the most powerful missing
link between the three were hormones. She became interested
in the connection between overall wellness and hormones due to
her own personal experiences. She has been hormone challenged
since puberty. In
her teen years, she started menstruation with the difficulty of a heavy flow,
cramping and pain; miscarriages in her 20’s; infertility treatments and
surgeries in her 30’s and hormonal ups and downs in her 40’s. She
considers these experiences and what she has learned from the experiences her
clients have shared with her to be the real core of her approach and training
to help others.
Roz consults with clients,
physicians, nurse practitioners and compounding pharmacists across
the country on hormone related issues. In 1994, she established
Whole Person Health, a business devoted to educating clients, healthcare
practitioners and the community on the connection between hormones
and mind, body, spirit wellness.
In 1999, she partnered with Clemson University to develop and
launch their natural hormone therapy program. In this context,
she worked cooperatively with nurse practitioners to provide a
comprehensive integrative approach designed to recognize that every
person is a unique individual with their own values, lifestyle
choices, coping strategies and personal experiences. The growing
program draws clients from the southeastern United States.
Drawing on both professional and personal experiences,
the Hormone Lady created a comprehensive, innovative program- HORMONZ:
Bioidentical & Beyond™. Designed
to address hormones from a whole person approach, her program combines education
about bioidentical hormones and evaluation of hormone levels with assessment
of lifestyle factors and day-to-day stressors. Based on the unique issues
and experiences of each client, an individualized plan focuses on restoring physical,
mental and emotional health. In 2005, Rosalyn changed the name of her business
to Hormone Lady Enterprises, LLC.
She considers it a privilege to have trained with leading experts
in the field of mind/body medicine especially Christiane Northrup,
M.D. author of Women’s
Bodies, Women’s Wisdom, Wisdom of Menopause and Mother-Daughter
Wisdom and Niravi Payne, M.S. author of The Language
of Fertility.
